the shadow of doubt

The three wire sculptures represent twisted perceptions, with "tainted" reasoning (logic) casting a shadow of doubt. These wire shapes are each fastened to a base-core; three bases represent three cores: mind, body and soul.

A sculpture that should be easily installed upright, is installed here with much effort in a nonsensical flat and ineffective manner.

The tangled wire resemble the typical scribbles we associate with frustration, confusion and/or mindless action. A yellow rope is entangled into it - in no way does it compromise the sculpture, yet it is of no particular use at all either, it is simply there- much like the anxiety it represents. the sculptures each cast a shadow over the installed artworks.

the use of rigid wire and adding in manipulative rope tie the single-line theme of continuation vs. the mixed-media (tainted element) of integration together.
